Strategic planning is the process of defining where an organization is going, determining what matters most, and creating a practical roadmap for achieving it.

An effective plan typically brings together seven essential elements: mission, vision, values, organizational assessment, strategic priorities, measurable objectives, and an implementation plan. Yet developing these elements is only the beginning.

Many organizations struggle to turn strategy into sustained action. Priorities become disconnected from daily operations, responsibilities remain unclear, departments work in silos, and progress is not consistently measured.
